Ronald H. Chand
Distinguished Fellow
Ron is a Distinguished Fellow at Metamagnetics. He mentors and coaches engineers and business staff. He innovates, supports engineering projects, streamlines manufacturing processes, and coordinates fabrication of components and tooling both internally and externally through a broad network of vendors.
Prior to Metamagnetics, Ron was an entrepreneur and a sought-after expert in the machining of Advanced Ceramics. For his work he received DoE’s Energy Pioneer Award and ACS’s New England Chapter’s F. H. Norton Award.
Ron holds a Master of Science degree from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and did two years of post-graduate study in Materials Science at Brown University. Ron served on many non-profit and for-profit Boards and was bestowed upon Doctor of Humane Letters, Honoris Causa by Worcester State College. Ron & his wife have three, well settled, grown-up children and three grandchildren.
