Michael Gurrie

Mike is an experienced finance and accounting leader with over 20 years of expertise in corporate finance, compliance and operational excellence.  He is currently the Corporate Controller at Metamagnetics, where he oversees all financial reporting, accounting operations, and internal control functions.  In this role, Mike ensures the accuracy, transparency, and integrity of the company’s financial performance.   

Prior to joining Metamagnetics, Mike was the Director of Financial Accounting at STR.  In that role, he led the accounting team, overseeing all aspects of financial reporting, accounting operations, revenue recognition, audits and internal controls.  Earlier in his career, Mike held progressive financial roles at BAE Systems where he led major program finance efforts, managed consolidated reporting, improved financial processes and supported internal and external audit engagements.

Mike holds an MBA with a concentration in Corporate Finance from Bentley University and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Saint Anselm College.  Outside of work, he is active in his community as a soccer coach soccer for his two boys and enjoys skiing and spending time at the beach in Narragansett, RI.
